After using its glutted control features, you’ll be curious to find out more about other contemporary crossbows that are comparable to this one. The TenPoint Siege RS410 Crossbow was developed by TenPoint Crossbows using a lot of technicality and was built with a number of overstuffed control systems in mind. At the end of the crossbow, TenPoint created an integrated string-stop mechanism to lessen string noise. The Seige RS410 has the benefit in terms of compactness and silent despite certain similarities.īasically, there’s a valid reason why using Seige RS410 causes a lot of silence. In actuality, it shares a design with the Havoc RS440. Similar to the TenPoint Havoc, the TenPoint Siege RS410 is a tiny reverse-draw crossbow. Before going on a hunt, make sure the RangeMaster Pro scope is properly sighted in when you purchase a crossbow from Hunting Giant! It’s a fantastic approach to raise your effectiveness.īy comparing some of the traits of the Havoc RS440 with those of the Seige RS410, we can learn more. Subnautica multipurpose room oxeygen12/10/2023 ![]() ![]() Alien Containments on adjacent floors can be built in a "stair step" configuration, sharing only one floor node. They do not hold extra creatures, however. Alien Containments built in the Large Room will be approximately twice the size of one built in a Multipurpose Room, taking up two floor nodes. The four nodes of this kind are marked by large black tiles. Bioreactors, Nuclear Reactors, and Alien Containments can be built on nodes in the center of the room.Water Filtration Machines can be built along the same wall nodes, taking up a small amount of floor space. If another Large Room or a Moonpool is placed parallel to the Large Room, it is possible to form a multiple connection.Modules other than Compartments will form a tiny corridor. The Large Room can be expanded with other modules from its ten wall nodes. They pop out from the room a small distance when built. Hatches can be built on the wall nodes.I'm sure there are many users who would find this very useful and be very grateful to you.The Large Room has ten wall nodes on which room expansions can be built: the short walls each have one, and the long walls four. Odd useless info: Pipe segments downward from floating pumps appear to be longer than the more horizontally oriented pipes you run in your work area. You can have air recharge points every 30 or 50m along your air pipe line if you wish. It follows from the above that you can add a single pipe section pointed off to the side of any pipe joint to create another air recharge point. Regardless of the number of branches off a main line from a single pump. Each branch of an air pipe line will get a usable supply of recharge air. You can attach additional pipe sections to the end of the air pipe line, OR TO ANY JOINT in the air pipe line, at any angle. ( You can do this with a floating pump, too, but it isn't really practical, since 99% of the time you are running that line DOWN first.) You can attach an air pipe line (or lines, plural) to a base pump at any angle. In addition to the battery, the prototype retrofit module included an advanced multi-mode LPWAN module supporting LTE Cat-M1, Kyocera-AVX antenna, Molex connectors and a SIM card. The SLB battery was able to accumulate enough charge from the 5mA P1 output to power a single data message per day. Connecting via Bluetooth, the Nichicon SLB series battery could be charged quickly via wireless charging within a few minutes, plus it was built to last thousands of charge/discharge cycles. Additionally, it was crucial that the battery would last for 10 to 15 years, meeting all the challenges of being charged and discharged without failure over for an extended period and exceeding national government regulations, so the module could potentially be deployed across Europe.Īvnet Abacus came up with the solution in the form of an innovative battery from Nichicon, which had developed a battery for use in a stylus pen for a consumer-market mobile phone. Options considered included a supercapacitor – but its lower energy density meant it would have been too large for the required compact design. The design would therefore require a small, yet powerful, energy storage device to acquire energy from the port, store it and deliver enough power to the module to send data via LTE-M.Īvnet Abacus was called in to help source the energy storage device and provide support for the new module’s design. However, the port offers a small output of approximately 5mA, which is not enough to send a message via 4G. It turned to TWTG to design a retrofit module to work with their installed base of smart meters and communicate with the outside world using the LTE-M.Ī key pathway to the new module was use of the smart meter’s P1 access port – used for various purposes from firmware upgrades to device monitoring. One leading European provider delivering smart-metered electricity to one and a half million households and businesses faced this very problem. It threatens the necessary replacement of smart meters – which could end up in landfill – and mean high costs to install new meters. The shutdown of older network technologies creates a major problem for utility companies. ![]() Voice and data services are increasingly being delivered over 3G/4G and eventually 5G networks, as well as other technologies such as LPWAN, including LTE Cat-M1, NB-IoT and LoRa. The viability of existing smart meters – which originally sent their data via 2G/GPRS – is subject to the inevitable progress of technology. Key to the collaboration was the integration of advanced battery technology from leading manufacturer Nichicon into a new wireless communications module. Avnet Abacus, one of Europe’s leading distributor of interconnect, passive, electromechanical, power supply, energy storage, wireless & sensor products and a regional business unit of Avnet (NASDAQ: AVT), has unveiled details of its recent cooperation with TWTG, a leading industrial-IoT specialist based in Rotterdam, helping to prevent the disposal of millions of smart meters.

Massage bed ceragem12/10/2023 Recent work indicates that the increase in circulation during passive heating is largely driven by local temperature gradients ( 13), implying that the magnitude of circulation increase may be predicted with knowledge of the local temperature. Understanding the relationship between these numerous parameters and the resulting physiological changes is critical to such optimization efforts.Ī central question in thermal therapies pertains to target engagement: given a targeted region (e.g., a specified muscle group), what is the required temperature that must be applied to the surface in order to produce the desired increase in blood flow to the target? Addressing this question requires knowledge of the temperature distribution produced throughout the volume during passive heating, as well as the quantitative relationship between the temperature distribution and resulting change in circulation. continuous), intensity (temperature), duration, and position may be individualized to maximize therapeutic benefit. Such devices allow in-home, self-managed treatment that may potentially leverage the numerous degrees of freedom governing the stimulation “dose.” In theory, stimulation parameters such as temporal dynamics (pulsed vs. For example, automatic thermal-mechanical massage beds are equipped with multi-axis traction and far-infrared thermal projectors ( 10– 12). Medical devices that provide thermal stimulation are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Understanding the distribution of tissue heating-the specific goal of the present study-is an essential first step in developing quantitative models of bio-thermomechanical responses. Heating also increases the rate of local tissue metabolism ( 5) and the elasticity of connective tissue ( 8, 9), both of which may in turn promote pain relief. Heat transduction is mediated by the TRP vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) receptor, whose activation may modulate antinociceptive pathways ( 7). The vasodilation and increased blood flow generated by thermal stimulation results in an increased supply of nutrients and oxygen to the affected tissue ( 4– 6). Several candidate mechanisms may mediate the therapeutic effect of heat therapy. The increased circulation produced by passive heating has been exploited in multiple therapeutic settings, most notably in the management of pain ( 3). These predictions are consistent with prior clinical observations of therapeutic benefits derived from spinal thermal massage.ĭirect application of heat to the skin is known to increase blood flow ( 1, 2), an essential physiological response that also removes excess heat actively produced during metabolism and exercise. Importantly, due to the rapid (non-linear) increase of circulation with local temperature, this is expected to increase blood flow four-fold (4x) at depths occupied by deep tissue and muscle. Our findings indicate that thermal massage increases tissue temperature by 3–8☌ and 1–3☌ at depths of 2 and 3 cm, respectively. Energy transfer across nine tissues was simulated with finite element modeling (FEM) and the resulting heating was coupled to blood flow with an empirically-guided model of temperature-dependent circulation. Here we specifically estimated the tissue temperature and increased circulation under steady-state conditions for typical thermal actuator settings (i.e., 45–65☌). ![]() ![]() To that end, we developed an MRI-derived model of the lower back and simulated the physiological effects of a commercial thermal-mechanical massage bed. As the devices become more sophisticated (increasing the degrees of freedom), it is essential to identify the settings that best target the desired tissue. ![]() Automatic thermal and mechanical massage beds support self-managed treatment, including reduction of pain and stress, enhanced circulation, and improved mobility.

Tidal 35 filter12/10/2023 ![]() The mangrove biome, often called the mangrove forest or mangal, is a distinct saline woodland or shrubland habitat characterized by depositional coastal environments, where fine sediments (often with high organic content) collect in areas protected from high-energy wave action. They are adapted to the low-oxygen conditions of waterlogged mud, but are most likely to thrive in the upper half of the intertidal zone. They contain a complex salt filtration system and a complex root system to cope with saltwater immersion and wave action. Mangroves are salt-tolerant trees, shrubs and ferns also called halophytes, and are adapted to live in harsh coastal conditions. The oldest known fossils of mangrove palm date to 75 million years ago. Mangrove plant families first appeared during the Late Cretaceous to Paleocene epochs, and became widely distributed in part due to the movement of tectonic plates. ![]() They occur worldwide in the tropics and subtropics and even some temperate coastal areas, mainly between latitudes 30° N and 30° S, with the greatest mangrove area within 5° of the equator. Mangroves are taxonomically diverse, as a result of convergent evolution in several plant families. The term is also used for tropical coastal vegetation consisting of such species. They have special adaptations to take in extra oxygen and to remove salt, which allow them to tolerate conditions that would kill most plants. Mangroves grow in an equatorial climate, typically along coastlines and tidal rivers. Mangroves are hardy shrubs and trees that thrive in salt water and have specialised adaptations so they can survive the volatile energies of intertidal zones along marine coasts.Ī mangrove is a shrub or tree that grows mainly in coastal saline or brackish water. The warranty covers the replacement of the defective parts. For other uses, see Mangrove (disambiguation). This can be extended to 5 years by registering your filter.

Lattice fencing prices12/10/2023 ![]() – Square up the top and bottom to each other as closely as possible. Avoid the lattice hanging out beyond the board. Repeat for the bottom, aligning the lattice at the bottom. Making sure the lattice is aligned at the top of the 4×8, nail together. Take two pieces of 4x8s and sandwich the lattice on the top. – Place a 2 x 8 ft piece of lattice and 4 x 8 ft piece of lattice on your work table. When you have your frame supplies delivered, make sure they are close to this area so you don’t have to carry them a distance. Set up another table for your saw, plus an area for your compressor and saw. We used two 4×8 pieces of plywood and 4 saw horses for our work station. ![]() – Set up your work area: You’ll need to set up a little workshop on your lawn. Yupp, your two pieces of bread are the wood that goes on both sides, and your sandwich filling is the lattice in the middle. We opted for the higher fence.įor this step we’re going to make a lattice sandwich. Our dogs could clear four feet in the blink of an eye, plus our friends the deer. We figured if our house was built before there was electricity (in 1850) we could build this fence! You could make design changes, or adapt this design so it’s 4 feet high rather than the 6 feet. This project is custom design based on research and going on many garden tours to see how fences were constructed. Grab some spray paint and map out your fence!įirst we make the lattice frames, and second the frames are nailed between two wooden posts set in concrete. This should give you an approximate number of frames minus gate openings. Measure your property perimeter and divide by eight. These frames are about 6 feet tall by 8 feet in length. ![]() ![]() If we could provide any insight on how long or hard certain steps are we added notes in each section. All of the tools used for this project are things we’ll use for house projects in the future. Get comfortable with different tools, cause you are going to use a lot of them. After working on it and boiling down the steps, it’s not that bad. We broke this project out in three phases to make it easier. I’ll follow up with another post specifically on tick control. I was talking to a friend and they suggested a few more simple things we can do to reduce the ticks in the yard. It’s still experimental, but we’re willing to try anything. I’ve talked to a few people who started using these years ago and have found positive feedback. A fence will help keep the big animals out, and we are going to use tick tubes to address the small critters like mice that are big carriers of ticks. The fence is the start of claiming a perimeter for our yard and focusing on tick control over the next few years. Ticks and Lyme disease are very prevalent in the area we live. Hopefully we have the same luck with this fence – deer can topple a fence if they are hungry! I think we’ll have to watch out in the winter. We need to stop the deer! We’ve had a 6 foot fence by our garden for the past two years and the deer have not bothered with it. Wildlife! We notice lots of wildlife like deer and moles in the back yard. No invisible fence will help with that, plus we live close to a busy road and are concerned about the dogs being hit by a car. Our dogs don’t really have a place to run off leash without the risk of them taking off after a deer. The fence is a high priority on a personal level because of our dogs. We have two dogs (Nero, a boxer and Sugar, a pibble) who need a place to run and get their energy out. Every renovation project we consider gets moved to the top of our list if it makes our day-to-day life better. Plus, it looks nice! Once we have this all painted, it will fit right in with the house and landscape. Why Wooden Lattice? We wanted some visibility and didn’t want to completely block off the view between the yard sections. No joke it’s a lot of work, we get it! But sweat equity keeps cash in our pocket to reinvest in our home elsewhere. We looked at the product a few local fence places offered and the cost to install – that’s when we decided to DIY. We completely understand it’s easier to maintain, but for us the historic feel of our home and surrounding property are more important than maintenance. Plastic is not an option if you are a working with a historic property. Grant smoked his last cigar here!) so we had to take the historic nature of the house into consideration. All opinions our own. Not too long after buying our house we quickly discovered the value of installing a wooden lattice fence. This post is sponsored by Lowe’s Home Improvement.
